COVID-19 Update

To our amazing customers,

During this challenging time our market will remain open every Saturday to provide you with the opportunity to pick up your groceries in a safe, open-air environment. To help ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, patrons, and community as we respond to COVID-19, our market has taken the following measures:

  • All market shoppers must wear protective masks or other face coverings to enter the market; all vendors are wearing masks and gloves to assist shoppers

  • Market vendors are being spread out across the east and west parking lots of Walnut Street Train Station until further notice to provide additional space for shopping and to allow customers to maintain a healthy physical distance from each other

  • Access to the market area will be restricted to one entrance and one exit for the original site to reduce crowd mingling

  • Vendors will provide "No Touch" shopping by staffing tables to pick up and place the selected products in shoppers' bags.

  • Some of our vendors have set up online shopping on their own websites to allow customers to place orders ahead of time

  • Additional team members are helping control the flow of traffic within the market

  • Vendors are being encouraged to follow best practices for good hygiene and safety

  • Each vendor space is located at least 10 feet away from other vendors to provide a more open layout

  • Tape lines are being used to keep shoppers at a safe distance

  • Sampling of food products has been suspended

Remember, we are all in this together. Please do your part to keep yourself and everyone safe. We kindly ask you to stay home if you are feeling sick, even if your symptoms are minor. To limit crowding at the market, we encourage you to bring the fewest amount of family members possible and to leave pets at home. Finally, please remain patient while shopping and keep a healthy distance from those around you.  We know that this situation is hard on everyone, but together we will get through these difficult times.

Thank you all for your continued support. Take care and stay safe.

Sincerely,

Your friends at the Montclair Farmers' Market
